Annual Glory Days Grill® Golf Tournament Raises $41,675

Fairfax, VA - Glory Days Grill, a regional restaurant chain, held its twenty-third annual golf tournament  on Tuesday, October 19, 2010 at the Piedmont Club in Haymarket, Virginia. The tournament raised $41,675 which is an unprecedented achievement in the history of the Tournament. $30,000 will be given to the tournament's main beneficiary, The Sunshine Foundation. The Sunshine Foundation is the original wish granting organization founded in 1976 by former Philadelphia police officer, Bill Sample.  Monies raised from the Tournament will fulfill the dreams of seriously ill, physically challenged and abused children, ages 3-18, nationwide. Glory Days Grill will also make an additional $11,675 in contributions to a variety of local charities and foundations in the Washington-Baltimore corridor including Jill’s House and The Elizabeth Ann Healy Foundation.

During the past seven years, more than $200,000 has been raised by this annual golf tournament to benefit the Sunshine Foundation and local charities and foundations in the communities served by Glory Days Grill.

Glory Days Grill has been recognized for a variety of charitable contributions and fundraising efforts and was a state winner and national finalist for both the 2009 and 2006 Restaurant Neighbor Award sponsored by the National Restaurant Association.  The restaurant company has 20 corporate owned and operated locations and 2 franchised locations.
