Annual Glory Days Grill® Golf Tournament Raises a Record $61,265

Gaithersburg, MD — January 2, 2017 — On Tuesday, October 18, 2016, Glory Days Grill hosted its 29th annual golf tournament at the Piedmont Club in Haymarket, Virginia. The annual tournament raised an all-time record $61,265 of which $35,000 has been designated for the tournament's main beneficiary, The Sunshine Foundation. Glory Days Grill will make additional contributions totaling $26,265 to a variety of local charities and foundations serving the Washington-Baltimore corridor.  Past recipients include local charities such as: Unified Prevention Coalition of Fairfax; Heroes, Inc.; Lorton Community Action Center; Life with Cancer; Nourish Now and CASA – Baltimore County.

Over the past thirteen years, Glory Days Grill has raised more than $519,000 through their annual golf tournament allowing the company to financially support the missions of many local and regional charities. During its 20 year history, Glory Days has been recognized for a variety of charitable contributions and fundraising efforts including SmartCEO’s Future 50 Award, The Washington Regional Alcohol Program’s ‘WRAPPY’ Community Partnership Award, and Glory Days Grill has been an eight time winner of the McCormick Cornerstone of the Industry Award. This award from the Restaurant Association of Maryland acknowledges companies that operate as the cornerstone of their communities, through positive job creation, community support and charitable contributions.
