Glory Days Grill® Announces Promotion of Tony Cochones to Vice President

Glory Days Grill announced this week that Tony Cochones has been named Executive Chef, Vice President of Culinary Operations. "Tony has been an integral part of Glory Days Grill's consistent commitment to food excellence from the day he joined our team in 2002," says Jeff Newman, CEO and President.  “He has been the culinary cornerstone that has enabled our company to grow steadily from a handful of restaurants to more than two dozen locations in four states. Tony's professional experiences, coupled with his passion for creating amazing, high quality food, has been instrumental in our company's mission to provide all guests with great food; delicious, seasonally-inspired menus; and a varied assortment of wine, beer and other beverages.”

Tony has guided the company through multiple store openings, led menu development initiatives, and has consistently made food quality and food safety his number one priority. As co-developer of the Glory Days Grill Nutritional Calculator and Allergen Wizard, Tony has ensured that every guest has the nutritional data and allergen information needed to make healthy choices. Tony was also co-originator of the Glory Days Grill Seasonal Menu concept with over 300,000 fresh seasonal items sold annually.

A self-proclaimed “Meat-Cutter” by trade, Tony served our country in the Army where he worked as former Cook for the Secretary of the Army and was an All Army Culinary Competition Finalist. Tony was a pioneer in the farm to table movement in Vermont in the 80’s at the Perry Restaurant Group and worked as General Manager for several top-notch restaurants, including Restaurants Unlimited in Seattle, Washington, and Olives Restaurant and Palomino Restaurant in Washington, DC.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Tony has always made time to give back through various charitable endeavors including founding a free Thanksgiving dinner and coat drive at Sweetwater Restaurants in Burlington, Vermont, (now in its 20th year serving 800+ delicious Thanksgiving meals and warm outdoor clothing for those in need) and raising over $65,000 over 8 years at a chef auction for a local charity, Life With Cancer in Fairfax, VA.
