Gaithersburg, MD — July 16, 2014 — Glory Days Grill, a restaurant chain with locations in Virginia, Maryland, West Virginia and Florida, celebrated another ‘Dream Come True’ last night in Pasadena, MD when they, together with The Sunshine Foundation, surprised a local child with his dream vacation to Florida. The Sunshine Foundation’s Dream Come True Program answers dreams for chronically ill, seriously ill, physically challenged and abused children, and over the past 18 years, Glory Days Grill has contributed over $300,000 to this program which benefits children whose families cannot fulfill their requests due to financial strain that the child's illness may cause.
“When we founded Glory Days Grill in 1996, our goal was to start a company whose mission included the support of the communities in which we operate,” says Bob Garner, Co-Founder of Glory Days Grill. “Through community programs, special events, sponsorships and fundraising, we partner with local sports teams, schools, businesses, and a variety of organizations including The Sunshine Foundation to benefit our neighbors and families.”
Sunshine Foundation is the original wish granting organization in the United States, and has answered the dreams of more than 37,000 children since 1976. Some 82% of every dollar spent goes directly to program services.
